It’s why we feel here. And today we’re going into a time to go on boxing and show you very quickly how we get out of the box and get this little guy running.

00:00:11:20 – 00:00:37:03

Philip English

Hi guys. So we’re doing a Temi go unboxing today. So this is the bigger brother from the Temi robot, but it has the exact same software. The main purpose of this robot is food delivery for restaurants, food courts, offices and retail. And it’s an autonomous system for point to point delivery. Obviously, you have the same features as Temi where we have the screen commands, voice or temi sensors to control it.

00:00:37:09 – 00:01:16:13

Philip English

So yeah, that’s on box set and see what we got. Okay. Obviously always be careful with noise and see what we got. This is the charging station which we will get set up to show you how everything works for. So we have the padding and obviously a little ramp. So let’s get an out and see what we got.

00:01:16:13 – 00:01:53:02

Philip English

Okay. So essentially that’s that the little ramp and then we can get them to come down here. So back and then it comes. Oh, so right, So there we have it in fresh out of the box with his three trays and screen, we’re ready to go. So next step is we are going to just get an up and running and do a little bit of submissions.

00:01:54:06 – 00:02:22:15

Philip English

Okay. So the first part is the charger. So we’ve got the set. All right. Magic in here, you get the plug and then the docking station, which is this little guy, hopefully you can see this. So basically it’s a two prong system which we’re going to set up against the wall and we’re going to get Temi going into it.

00:02:22:23 – 00:03:15:11

Philip English

Then we go, So the charger is now ready. Okay. So here we have the system and we’re going to back it in to the docking station. So that’s straight. And then the semi go has an on button which is underneath here. But Roy and I let him boot up quite. So we switch the time we go on and now we’re going to do a simple map exercise and simple position exercise to set some locations.

00:03:15:20 – 00:03:36:20

Philip English

So the way I do this, I can even do it through my phone or my laptop. And this occasion I’m going to do it on my phone to get him to follow me. And then we’re going to simply be able to do a map. So the way the mapping works is that you put it to follow me mode, which is essentially triggers on the mapping mode and then you walk around the restaurant or work, walk around the office or the factory or the site.

00:03:37:13 – 00:04:12:11

Philip English

The robot will creates a 2D map. And then from that you can then set some locations in a way you go, So I’m just going to get this for my phone so you can see how it works. So now the robot is in follow me mode so I can walk around and and essentially this is how I would map out location.

00:04:12:17 – 00:04:41:20

Philip English

He would follow me around the robots building a 2D map, which I will show you on my laptop later and create a nice 2D map for you. Then once you’ve got the 2D map, then you can go on to create locations. So you simply say, we had four tables. So we have a table over here. Like I can mark on here and create one location.

00:04:42:09 – 00:05:50:19

Philip English

So a location closer to here. And then we’re going to turn around and create a location back here. So as well. And then essentially we have made the map and made the locations and the location. So if I and this coat, then within the software that the locations attract, he’s still on, Follow me. My son’s going to switch south.

00:05:50:19 – 00:06:22:17

Philip English

So essentially this is where we’ve put the locations into the robot and then all we have to do is send them there. So I just gather intelligence to go to location for. So again, off he goes, table number four and lines up at this stage, you can then get the robot to run the sequence. It could be someone speaking has to be an explanation of what the food is or what the parts are and what that person needs to do.

00:06:24:00 – 00:06:57:23

Philip English

Send it to the next location that we created. Scare Location three place that was in the corner. Yeah. So that was there. And then we just put this to location one and basically I think the AI wants to show how simple this was to get the robot up and running in very fast time and you don’t need any, any other infrastructure apart from obviously the charging station.

00:06:58:13 – 00:07:31:11

Philip English

And we have them going to location one which is just sat there. Obviously I’ve done only a few small locations in this small space so I can show you on the video camera. But essentially, yeah, the time you go, it’s a very fast way to set up a robot in a restaurant with a charging station dock in which what we will do now and then obviously once he’s finished his task, you can send him back to the home, back to the kitchen, or simply back to the home base docking station.

00:07:31:11 – 00:07:55:04

Philip English

So if he goes there and the brilliant thing about this robot is similar to Sammy, go again. It runs the same software, which means that you have a whole collection of different tools and software tools for video conferencing and app creation. There’s also some of these that doing receptionist jobs as well as the delivery job. So it can be a multitask robot.

00:07:55:16 – 00:08:16:16

Philip English

And the sound system is very, very good. One thing we’ve seen from other models and again, it’s a very fast, quick, effective way to get in and test out the world of robotics in restaurants using the time again. Thanks again, guys. I hope you enjoyed the quick overview of unboxing. Tami, go.
