Hi Guys and welcome, I am Philip English from Robophil.com and on this video we are doing a quick Interview with Oleg Kivokurtsev from Promobot LLC. We managed to speak to Oleg at the Innarobo 2015 Robot Exhibition in France, Lyon.

Promobot are resident of Skolkovo Robotics Center and are a high-tech company which produces a multi-purpose support robot, for places with large numbers of people. It is Design to assist in navigation, provide consultation on issues and directions for customers. It can also highlight goods, broadcast promotional information, increase sales and collect relevant information for contacting customers.

Philip: Right! Hi guys! Philip English again, now here with another set of robots, so we got a gentleman just gonna introduce himself and tell us a little bit more about his company.

Oleg: My name is Oleg, we are from Russia and there is our robot which calls Promobot. I’m Design Engineer and we brought robot from Moscow to Lyon for this awesome expo which calls InnoRobo.

Philip: Okay. It’s good to see you guys, I mean this is a very interesting robot that you got here, can you tell me a little bit more about the robot does.

Oleg: This robot can speak about variously, he has a very big linguistic database, he can move without touching some, recognise your face and recognise your speech and absolutely an autonomous robot helper. We are in a place with a big sound, a big traffic. Today, they are robots that walks in city mall, cinemas, airports and help persons to find information which they need. Maybe, one time you come into airport you can’t find your gate for flew and you can choose your language and ask robot “Please show me, where is my gate?”, he can say, ”Come on with me, I will show you .”

Philip: Sounds good! Sounds like a helpful supply robot, so maybe in airports, maybe in supermarkets in the future, but in places where people can go up there, they maybe lost and they need a bit of helping hand and they can use the robot for sort of thing. So how many of these robots are in Russian in the moment?

Oleg: Today, in Russia walks Skolkovo robots in city malls, cinemas, and we have contract for one country 50 robots and then when you come into Russia you will find them everywhere switching in time and now we are going to announce market to European and we find partners in robots where it is good for, find them and in Russia, we do open markets.

Philip: Okay. Yes. So you are mainly in Russia but now you want to sort go out into Europe, go over America, trying to push the product out. So this is like version 1 of the robot and is there going to be a version 2, 3?

Oleg: There is a second version of our robot. There is a new design, then new software, new electrical architecture, now we go on developed to other version, and now we developed linguistic database and that’s the one we just…

Philip: So, how many languages has this robot got?

Oleg: Today, today, he speaks in English and in Russian. Russian lingiustic database is very big. English is still small but we are working on that.

Philip: Well, okay. Thanks very much and it’s good to have an overview of the robot. We’ll keep an eye on you guys.Thank you very much!
